Sant Wali Ram ਸੰਤ ਵਲੀ ਰਾਮ

Sant Wali Ram (17th century) was a sufi poet of Punjabi. He wrote poetry in Persian, Hindi, Rekhta and Punjabi. He was closely associated with Dara Sikoh. He served in the court of Emperor Aurangzeb for twenty years. Diwan Wali Ram left his post and became a carefree mystic. His son Nand Ram was also a spiritual poet, who joined the services of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
ਸੰਤ ਵਲੀ ਰਾਮ (ਸਤਾਰਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ) ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਸੂਫ਼ੀ ਕਵੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ । ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਹਜਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਸ਼ਕੋਹ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਲਕਾਰ ਸਨ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਾਰਸੀ, ਹਿੰਦੀ, ਰੇਖਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਵਲੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਤਕ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ । ਉਹ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ ਫ਼ਕੀਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੰਦ ਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਕਵੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਕੋਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ।
