Professor Mohan Singh
Professor Mohan Singh (20 October 1905-3 May 1978) was born at Mardan (Pakistan) and died in Ludhiana. He started his career as Persian Lecturer at Khalsa College, Amritsar. Professor Mohan Singh worked as Professor Emeritus at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana from 1970-1974. He is one of the best Punjabi poets of modern times. Professor Mohan Singh wrote poetry on almost every aspect of Punjabi life. One can meet characters of his poems every where. The message of his poetry is clear. His outlook is secular. His poetical works are Save Patter, Kasumbhara, Adhvate, Kach Sach, Awazan, Wadda Vela, Jandre, Jai Mir, Boohe and Nankayan.Professor Mohan Singh also translated some books and wrote a few stories.
